چکیده
Background: Tilapia farming is amongst the most lucrative in terms of yield and return investments aquaculture industry Thailand. The sustainable supply tilapia (Oreochromis spp.) can be exploited to reconsider fish species as a huge potential for Thailand’s medical sector, particularly on xenograft an innovative treatment burns. Methods: Collagen content quantification by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method done two samples: Chitralada I (Thai locally cultured strain Oreochromis niloticus) pink (commercially Charoen Pokphand Foods PCL) skin compare amount type collagen (COL-I) measuring one its major amino acids, hydroxyproline, with Nile which has been used Brazil. Results: results showed that there no significant difference hydroxyproline strains. sample contains 9.01 g/100g (9.01%) 18.55 (18.55%) respectively. Conclusions: Since are minor differences between Thai locally-farmed tilapia; therefore, possible choice burn treatment.

Dressings for superficial and partial thickness burns.
BACKGROUND An acute burn wound is a complex and evolving injury. Extensive burns produce systemic consequences, in addition to local tissue damage. Treatment of partial thickness burn wounds is directed towards promoting healing and a wide variety of dressings are currently available. Improvements in technology and advances in understanding of wound healing have driven the development of new dr...
متن کاملRandomized controlled trial of three burns dressings for partial thickness burns in children.
BACKGROUND This study compared the effects of three silver dressing combinations on small to medium size acute partial thickness burns in children, focusing on re-epithelialization time, pain and distress during dressing changes. METHOD Children (0-15 years) with clean, ≤ 10% total body surface area (TBSA) partial thickness burns who met the inclusion criteria were included in the study. Chil...
متن کاملAmnion in the treatment of pediatric partial-thickness facial burns.
BACKGROUND Wound coverage for second-degree burns remains a clinical challenge. Human amniotic membranes have been used for many years in the treatment of burns; however, no large prospective clinical trials have been published. In this article, we present a novel and standardized procurement and processing method for amnion and investigate, whether the use of this biological dressing is safe a...

The objective of this study was to analyze which materials and methods are used for the management of partial and full thickness burns, as well as donor sites. An Internet survey was used to poll directors of burn centers around the world on their preferences for local treatment of different types of burns and donor sites. Results were tabulated and expressed as a percentage of the total number...
متن کاملAdvantages of collagen based biological dressings in the management of superficial and superficial partial thickness burns in children.
Collagen based dressings for acute burn wound management have been extensively used in India, particularly in the city of Chennai. Due to the high levels of humidity in our city, closed dressings become infected and treatment with topical antimicrobials, like Silver Sulfadiazine cream, quickly become desiccated. Collagen membrane dressings were manufactured by the biomaterial laboratory of the ...
